In most states, the waiting periods are as follows:
- Illnesses: 30 days after the coverage effective date.
- Childbirth: 12 months after the coverage effective date.
- Medical Procedures: 30 days after the coverage effective date.
There is no waiting period for accidental bodily injuries, which are covered immediately starting on the coverage effective date.
Also note that if you cancel your Atlas Direct insurance coverage, you must wait one year before reapplying.
