Atlas Direct’s insurance premiums reflect your attained age, which refers to your age on your coverage effective date or annual renewal date.

For example, if Alex (born June 30, 2000) starts coverage on July 1, 2030, he will have just turned 30, so his monthly premium for the entire duration of his initial one-year coverage term will be based on his being a 30-year old male on the date that his coverage first went into effect. By contrast, his cousin Adam (born July 2, 2000) will still be 29 on July 1, 2030, so he would be charged the monthly rate for a 29-year-old male during the entire duration of his initial one-year coverage term, assuming that he also starts his coverage on July 1, 2030.

When July 1, 2031 rolls around and it is time for one-year coverage renewals, Alex will be charged the rate for a 31-year old for the entire upcoming year while Adam will be charged the rate for a 30-year old for the entire upcoming year.
