The Outpatient Radiation or Chemotherapy benefit is not available to Kansas residents.
Differences in the Vaginal and Caesarean Delivery Benefits
In Kansas, there is no waiting period for either the Vaginal Delivery Benefit or the Caesarean Delivery Benefit.
In addition, please note that the benefit amounts available to Kansas residents are different during the first 12 months of coverage relative to months 13 and later.
- In Kansas, the Vaginal Delivery benefit is $500 per delivery (limit 1 delivery per year) during the first 12 months of coverage, versus $5,000 per delivery (limit 1 delivery per year) starting with month 13.
- In Kansas, the Caesarean Delivery benefit is $800 per delivery (limit 1 delivery per year) during the first 12 months of coverage versus $8,000 per delivery (limit 1 delivery per year) starting with month 13.
Outpatient Surgery
Benefits for a medical procedure surgery performed on an outpatient basis must be performed at an ambulatory surgical center.
