What Is Atlas Direct?

The Atlas Direct DPC Program, or just “Atlas Direct,” enhances people’s relationship with their Direct Primary Care provider by bringing together membership in the Direct Care Foundation with access to a fixed-indemnity insurance plan designed specifically for the healthcare and financial needs of Direct Primary Care patients.

The plan pays fixed cash benefits directly to covered persons for a limited set of medical services, including hospital confinement, emergency room visits, and ambulance transportation. This ensures that when a covered event happens, beneficiaries get a predetermined amount that they can use for any purpose.

Please note, however, that Atlas Direct’s insurance plan excludes coverage for a wide array of medical services, including medications, lab tests, mental-health services, and substance-abuse treatments. As a result, the Atlas Direct DPC Program is definitely not a substitute for comprehensive major-medical health insurance, and we recommend that anyone seeking comprehensive health insurance consult with a licensed insurance agent or visit their state’s health-insurance marketplace for comprehensive-coverage options.

The insurance policy advertised on this website offers limited health benefit coverage and is a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, comprehensive major medical insurance coverage.
