How does Atlas Direct work with my existing health insurance?

Atlas Direct’s insurance plan is legally classified as a non-coordinated benefit, which means that it will pay claims completely independently of the claims decisions made by other insurance plans. As a result, the Atlas Direct insurance plan will pay the full amount to you for any covered event, irrespective of what any other insurance plan that you may have decides to pay for the same event.

You may of course choose to have multiple insurance plans, such as having an Atlas Direct insurance plan in addition to an employer-sponsored comprehensive health plan. If so, you Atlas Direct plan will pay for covered claims completely independently of the claims decisions made by your other insurance plans.

The insurance policy advertised on this website offers limited health benefit coverage and is a supplement to, rather than a replacement for, comprehensive major medical insurance coverage.
