Atlas Direct’s insurance plan is not a substitute or replacement for Medicaid, Medicare, or any other government-sponsored health insurance, including Veterans Administration healthcare benefits, Tri-Care, or Indian Health Service benefits.
All forms of government-sponsored health insurance in the United States are entitlements to which qualifying individuals are legally entitled and, in addition, generally offer comprehensive coverage at low or no cost.
By contrast, the Atlas Direct insurance plan is a limited-benefits insurance plan that excludes many medical services and, in addition, is a fixed-indemnity plan for which you, yourself, will have to pay 100% of the premiums.
Please also note that Atlas Direct’s insurance component is only available to individuals under the age of 65 and cannot be used to replace or supplement Medicare coverage. In particular, Atlas Direct is not a Medicare Advantage plan, a Medi-gap plan, or a Medicare supplemental plan.
