Atlas Direct’s insurance coverage is good for one year—so expect to be hearing from us each year about renewing your coverage.
A key point about renewal is to remember that Atlas Direct’s insurance plan is a group insurance product sponsored by the Direct Care Foundation and that in order to renew Atlas Direct, you must remain a member in good standing of the Direct Care Foundation.
To do that, you will have to attest at the time of renewal that you are either currently under the care of a Direct Primary Care provider or that you expect to be within 60 days. So expect to be asked about that.
As for whether there are any benefits to renewing early or staying with the plan for multiple years, the answer is no because we like to treat both new and current clients equally and because the one-year duration of our contracts makes early renewals legally impossible. The coverage is good for a year and a deal is a deal.
